Bonjour!
Sunday is quite a busy day at Merci Marcel. We have to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated. (Yes, they don’t accept table reservations only walk-in customers)
It was a pleasant surprise when we got inside. It has a very cozy atmosphere. I’d say a reminiscent of a Parisian wine bar with a tropical twist. It has eclectic furniture and decor.
They have tables outside for people who prefer alfresco dining, one facing the street and another one inside the garden.

Food:
(What we have)
Croissant (a must try!) S$3.5
A freshly baked croissant with 100% French butter. Taste perfectly with homemade fruit jam.

Best croissant I’ve ever tasted!

Melts in my mouth!
Croque Marcel (below) S$23
Fresh salad with ham (bit salty) and morbier cheese (bit strong). Interesting flavour yet pleasantly good.
Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio (above) S$22
Fresh beef and tomatoes with aged Parmesan cheese. Very savory and well seasoned.
Coffee:
Triple Shot Latte S$8 and Cappuccino S$6
Strong aroma with thick flavor. Not so milky so it suits our taste.

You’ll get free dark chocolate for your coffee too!

Aww so romantic. lol!
